CAROLINA FARMS & HOMES ANDREW GIBBONS NAMED ACCREDITED LAND CONSULTANT OF THE YEAR

Chapel Hill, NC: January 16, 2009  Surry County real estate broker, Andrew Gibbons, was honored with the first annual Accredited Land Consultant of the Year Award from the North Carolina Realtors Land Institute (NC RLI) at a January 13, 2009, ceremony held in Chapel Hill. Gibbons, a partner with Carolina Farms & Homes of Pilot Mountain, draws on years of real estate experience, comprehensive knowledge of the local real estate market, and extensive professional education to provide unsurpassed service to his clients.

The award was created by T. Kyle Swicegood, 2008 President of NC RLI, to honor those who put service to the organization above self. Swicegood selected Gibbons because I couldn't think of anybody who more deserved this award than Andrew for his willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty. I personally greatly appreciated his help during my presidency. He did a phenomenal job for the organization and is always willing to get his hands dirty and roll up his sleeves.

Gibbons served as NC RLI President in 2007, currently serves as Secretary/Treasurer, and chairs the National RLI's Land Education Foundation. He is also the past president of the Yadkin Valley Association of Realtors.

Of the more than 40,000 licensed Realtors in NC, only 29 have earned the prestigious designation of Accredited Land Consultant (ALC). Accreditation requires the successful completion of several special classes, demonstrated knowledge and experience, and at least -million in completed land transactions.

Gibbons is licensed in both NC and VA. In addition to his ALC designation, he is a Graduate of the Realtors Institute (GRI) and a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS). He has sold more than -million in real estate since 2001.
